Brief Profile

Dr. Jyoti Prakash Das is an Assistant Professor at the Birla School of Commerce, Birla Global University, Bhubaneswar. With over 13 years of experience in higher education, he specializes in teaching and researching Finance and Accounting. He earned his Ph.D. in Financial Management from the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Allahabad, an institute of National Importance. He holds a dual master’s degree, Master of Business Administration in Finance, and Master of Commerce in Accountancy, and is UGC-NET qualified in both Commerce and Management.

An active and dedicated researcher, Dr. Das primarily focuses on corporate hedging, risk management, and firm value. His scholarship is featured in prestigious, high-impact international journals indexed in SSCI and Scopus. Beyond the classroom, he contributes to the global academic community as a Section Editor for the Forum for Economic and Financial Studies. He serves as a peer reviewer for Springer’s Financial Innovation and Elsevier’s Finance Research Letters.
