Board of Studies meeting of Birla School of Commerce

The Birla School of Commerce organized the Board of Studies meeting for the Academic year 2021-22, on 26th June, 2021 at 11.30 am over Zoom video conferencing to discuss and ratify the course structure of M.Com and B.Com programs for 2021 admission batch at the School. The meeting was convened by Dean, Birla School of Commerce, Prof.(Dr.) Samson Moharana. It was graced by eminent academicians and practitioners in the field of Commerce & Accountancy, including Prof. Ashish Kumar Sana, Dean, Faculty of Commerce, Calcutta University, Prof. Ranjan Kumar Bal, Former Head & Dean, P.G. Department of Commerce, & Former Chairperson, PG Council, Utkal University, CA Rajiv Sekhar Sahoo, Leading Chartered Accountant & Financial consultant, CMA Siba Prasad Padhi, Leading Cost Accountant & member of advisory bodies of several reputed PSUs, CS N K Mohanty , Company Secretary of national level PSU, NALCO and Prof. Tushar K. Pany, Dean, School of Commerce, Ravenshaw University. They were also accompanied by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Birla Global University, Prof. (Dr.) P.P.Mathur, Registrar, Prof.(Dr.) B.K.Das, Dean, Birla School of Management, Prof.(Dr.) Parameswar Nayak and faculty of Birla School of Commerce. Mrs. Lopamudra Nayak, Assistant Professor, Birla School of Commerce presented the M.Com course structure and Ms. Neha Joshi, Assistant Professor; Birla School of Commerce presented the B.Com course structure for the admission batch 2021. The members discussed and deliberated on the inclusion of skill based papers and changing market trends and requirements. The meeting ended with formal vote of thanks by Mrs. Lopamudra Nayak.
