FDP on Teaching Pedagogy & Research Skills in Legal Studies

The School of Law, Birla Global University, Bhubaneswar is organizing a one-week Online Faculty Development Program for Faculty, Research Scholars and practitioners. The FDP started with the inaugural session on 17th January 2022 at 10:00 AM. The program commenced with BGU Kulgeet followed by Welcome Address by Prof. (Dr.) L.K Deb, Dean, School of Law, Birla Global University and opening remarks by Prof (Dr.) B.K Das, Registrar, Birla Global University. Prof (Dr.) P.P. Mathur, Vice Chancellor, Birla Global University, inaugurated the ceremony and gave the inaugural address. The Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) D N Jauhar, Former Vice Chancellor Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, gave the keynote address. He was of the opinion that one must find out the calibre and weakness of our own to find out the best in you. Further he wished the FDP to become the scintillating platform of exchange of ideas and concerns among academicians, research scholars and practitioners. Dr. Bhavana Sharma, Associate Professor, Birla School of Law, proposed a Vote of Thanks. Over sixty Participants have registered for this FDP from across India. This Inaugural Session was followed by the Technical Session I where The keynote speaker was Prof (Dr.) Nishtha Jaswal, Vice-Chancellor HPNLU, Shimla, gave her insights on Writing of Ph.D. Thesis. After Lunch break at 2:00 PM II Technical Session was Conducted and the key note speaker of the session was Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, Director ILI, New Delhi. He emphasized on Interdisciplinary Approach and Teaching in Law. The cogent and erudite lectures were well received by the audience and were very engaging. It is believed that this FDP will go a long way in improving the standard of teaching and learning in the Faculty of Law.
