The Inaugural session of the Commencement Program of BBA, LL.B (Hons) 2022-27 and LL.M 2022-23 batches of the Birla Global University was held on September 5, 2022 in the Seminar Hall. The Chief Guest, Hon’ble Justice A. S. Naidu, former Judge Orissa High Court, spoke about the growing importance of Legal education and the career opportunities available for law students. He highlighted the role of the judiciary in creatively interpreting the Constitution of India and molding it to meet the changing needs of society. The Guest of Honour, Prof Ved Kumari, Vice Chancellor, National Law University of Odisha stressed on the need for students to ask questions, so that classes become interactive. She said questioning is also the foundation of legal practice. It is through learning the art of questioning, one can succeed in the legal profession. Prof P. P. Mathur, Vice Chancellor, Birla Global University spoke about the relationship of law with all other fields of learning. The Registrar, Prof B. K. Das highlighted the establishment and gradual growth and development of the School of Law. Prof L. K. Deb, Dean, School of Law, welcomed the Guests and Ms Ishani Acharya gave the vote of thanks. Sai Ujwal, Final Year of the BBA, LL.B (Hons) course anchored the program.
