Birla Global University in Bhubaneswar recently concluded it's first Research Scholars’ Meet 2023, which took place over two days on June 09th and 10th, 2023. The convener of the event, Dr. Siddharth Misra, Assistant Professor at the University, welcomed the guests by setting the tone for the inaugural session. On the first day, the audience were addressed by Dr. P P Mathur, the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, he deliberated on the importance of Quality Ph.D. Research Work and promotion of research culture in the university, he also quoted that Ph.D. is not a Degree but a training to carry out research. Dr. Subhajit Bhattacharya, Expert Speaker, Associate Professor, XIM University discussed briefly about the journey of Ph.D. Scholars, the Publication Ethics and Quality of Publication. Dr. B K Das, Registrar, BGU emphasized on the importance of frequency of research meetings and sharing of new knowledge to the research community, Dr. P Nayak, Chairman, Research and Development Cell, BGU shared the critical concepts of Research and encouraged scholars about the timely progress of the Ph.D. work. The second day of Research Scholars’ Meet 2023 was graced by Dr. Rajesh Panda, Professor, XIM University. He delivered an expert lecture on the Research Methodology and Best Practices in Ph.D. Mentoring. This event was mainly organized for providing a platform for doctoral scholars, faculty members, and masters interested in pursuing careers in academics and research. The event featured presentations of research findings by various 21 Ph.D. scholars and was attended by more than 70 participants. The meet concluded by vote of thanks by Dr. Vivek Mishra, Assistant Professor, BGU.
