Birla Global University organized 5 days Faculty Development Programme on AI Tools and Platforms for Teaching and Research from 25 -29 June 2024. Prof. P. P. Mathur, Vice Chancellor, Birla Global University, in the inaugural session said that artificial intelligence has disrupted the teaching and research process and educators have to learn to work in accordance with that. Dr. Debi Prosad Dogra, Associate Head (Computer Science Engg.), Associate Professor, IIT Bhubaneswar spoke on Adaptive Learning Systems: Use of AI-powered platforms in teaching and research. CA Biswaranjan Sutar, Assurance Lead Partner, SRB & Associates, Bhubaneswar took the session on Developing AI- Enhanced Curriculum and Promoting Collaborative Learning. Prof. Bhaskar Basu, Professor Information Systems Area, XIMB, XIM University, Bhubaneswar took the session on Application of AI for preparing learning materials and effective classroom delivery, Prof. Sameer Sahasrabudhe, Professor of Practice (Design), IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat delivered lecture on How to Write a Paper on Educational Research and Mr. Nilabdhi Samantray, Chief Digital Officer and Head of Emerging Technologies, CSM Technologies deliberated on Simulation through AI driven methods and Ethical Considerations and Challenges of Using AI. All the faculty members of BGU attended the session. The resource persons for the FDP consisted of experts from academia and industry. The FDP was coordinated by Dr. Archana Choudhary, Associate Professor, and Dr. Gyanaranjan Mishra, Assistant Professor, Birla Global University.
