Selecting aspirants for admissions to its various programs every year has been oriented towards achieving a right mix in the class so as to enhance the total learning experience both within and outside the class. Admission efforts seek to achieve a ‘class- diversity’ which heightens peer group learning.
Reservation Policy: As mentioned in the Birla Global University Odisha Act 2015, the University provides reservation of fifty percent for the students of Odisha subject to satisfying the minimum qualifying standard for admission tests and interviews.
Refund Policy: University follows UGC guidelines in regard to refund of fee.

Minimum Eligibility: Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. program shall have a Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting assuring quality and standards of educational institutions.
Relaxation To Above: A relaxation of 5% marks, from 55% to 50% or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy layer) /Differently- abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time or for those candidates who had obtained their Master Degree prior to 19th September 1991. The relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including grace mark procedure.
Minimum Eligibility: Candidate should have good academic record with minimum 50% Marks (or equivalent CGPA) marks in his/her Graduation. Candidates appearing for their final year graduation examination must submit their mark sheet immediately on the receipt of the same.
Final Selection Criteria: The applicant to the program is selected on the basis of BGU Selection process based on past academic performance in 10th, 12th, and graduation; CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/BET(BGU Entrance Test) score; GDPI or Comprehensive PI written ability test (WAT). Suitable weightages for Work Experience, Academic & Regional Background, and Professional Qualification etc. are also given.
Minimum Eligibility: The Candidate should have passed 10+2 with Minimum 50% or equivalent CGPA. Candidates appearing in final examinations can also apply.

Minimum Eligibility:Admission to the LL.M. Degree Course of study shall be open to those candidates who have passed the Three-Year LL.B. Degree Examination from a recognized University or Institution after Graduation under 10+2+3+3 pattern; or Five Year LL.B. Degree Course under 10+2+5 pattern as is recognized by this University as equivalent for the purpose of LL.M. Degree Course and have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate for the general applicants, and not less than 45% marks in aggregate for the SC and ST applicants, in the LL.B. Examinations.
The University shall conduct LL.M Entrance Test (LET) for each academic session. Admission shall be made according to merit in the LET subject to the fulfilment of eligibility requirement as determined by the University and availability of seats in LL.M. Course. The students who have passed the CLAT or LSAT examinations shall also be allowed to join the course subject to availability of seats.
Minimum marks in qualifying examination for admission: Bar Council of India may from time to time, stipulate the minimum percentage of marks not below 45% of the total marks in case of general category applicants,42% for OBC category and 40% of the total marks in case of SC and ST applicants, to be obtained for the qualifying examination, such as +2 examination in case of Integrated Five Year course or Degree course in any discipline for Three years’ LLB course, for the purpose of applying for and getting admitted into a law Degree Program of any recognized University in either of the streams.
Provided that such a minimum qualifying marks shall not automatically entitle a person to get admission into an institution but only entitle the person concerned to fulfil other institutional criteria notified by the institution concerned or by the government concerned from time to time to apply for admission.
* For admission into BBA-LLB program of BGU Bhubaneswar applicant must have a valid CLAT/AILET/XLET / BGU Admission Test score.

Minimum Eligibility: Passed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree.
OR
Passed B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 Level or at Graduation Level (with additional bridge Courses as per the norms of the Birla Global University).
Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination
Minimum Eligibility: The Candidate should have passed +2 Examinations in Arts / Science / Commerce or equivalent. having Mathematics/ Business Mathematics or Statistics in +2 or three year Diploma in Engineering Examination conducted by State Council of Technical Education and Training, Orissa or equivalent degree 50% aggregated marks
Minimum Eligibility: Passes Class XII (or equivalent) in Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
Final year +2 students, who are expecting their results during 2024, can also apply.
