Birla Global University hosted BGU Research Conclave 2024 on Feb 27, 2024. The conclave laid its focus area in technology, management, humanities and social science, communication, and law. The Conclave was inaugurated in the presence of Prof. P. P. Mathur, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Birla Global University, Guest of Honor, Dr. Tapan K. Panda, Pro Vice Chancellor, KIIT Deemed-to-be University, and Prof. B. K. Das, Registrar, Birla Global University.
Prof. B. K. Das, Registrar of BGU, emphasized the indispensable role of curiosity and enthusiasm in the pursuit of knowledge.
The atmosphere buzzed with intellectual anticipation as Dr. Tapan K. Panda took to the podium. Dr. Panda shared his research journey, underlining the importance of effort, resilience, and learning from rejection. The significance of advanced methodology, originality in questionnaires, and impactful case studies were discussed. Grounded research, boundary-spanning activities, and a focus on capabilities rather than incapabilities were highlighted. The concept of mindfulness, encompassing inquisitiveness, a 360-degree view, experimentation, and storytelling in research was underscored.
Prof. P.P. Mathur, Vice-Chancellor of BGU, delved into intellectual property rights, publication, and the perpetual flame of curiosity.
In the second session, Prof. Rabi. N. Subuddhi, Professor, Quantitative Methods, Decision Sciences, KIIT DU, emphasized a critical approach in research thinking while Prof. Samaresh Mishra, Professor and Dean, School of Computer Engineering, KIIT DU reiterated that learning is a continuous, multidisciplinary process. This insightful gathering reaffirmed the intricate tapestry of research and the holistic mindset required for scholarly pursuits.
The session was followed by paper and poster presentations by students, research scholars, and academicians from across the state.
