Birla Global University, Bhubaneswar organized the commencement day program of newly admitted students of MBA 2023-25 batch on 7 July 2023. Mr. Rakesh Kohli, Chairman, Stag International, India graced the function as the Chief Guest. Ms. Monika Kohli, Director, Stag International, actress, motivational speaker graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
Mr. Rakesh Kohli, focused on the paradigmatic shift India has gone through over the last five decades. He also apprised the students on the importance of 5 D’s i.e. desire, dedication, discipline, determination and divine. Ms. Monika Kohli, inspired the students by necessitating on the importance of not letting your dreams die and work towards the dream keeping through positive thinking.
Prof. P. P. Mathur, Vice-Chancellor, Birla Global University in his presidential address said that the students should have perseverance and learn from everyone around them. He referred to the students as caterpillars who would subsequently transform into butterflies.
Prof. B. K. Das, Registrar, Birla Global University spoke on future scope of MBA and further added that AI and Chat GPT can never replace teachers in educational institutions, as they help in building the right attitude essential for a job. Dr. Parameswar Nayak, Dean, Birla School of Management, BGU, delivered the welcome address by highlighting the importance of MBA program and said that students should engage in doing the right things at the right place. The program started with the rendering of the BGU “Kulgeet” (University Anthem) and lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The commencement day concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Archana Choudhary, Associate Professor, and MBA Program Coordinator, Birla Global University. The event was attended by Dean of schools, faculty members, parents and newly admitted MBA students.
