“Silence is a source of great strength.” – Lao Tzu
When planning a study schedule, many students wonder “when is the best time to study?”
So in 2013, a study found that two hours of silence could create new cells in the hippocampus region, a brain area linked to learning, remembering, and emotions.
But honestly, there is no "best" time of day to study. We each have our most useful time when we have the most energy. A few are morning individuals, who awaken with loads of energy. Others are evening people, and have more energy in the evening hours. But either it's day or night silence is the most important thing for studying.
Silence in itself is beneficial, one's mind inclines to seek disturbance, and when you become silent you start to observe. That's where studying anything gives you advantages. One understands a lot more and gets to learn from the best teacher which is his/her self.
Let me give you some importance of studying in silent hours:
Firstly, Silence Helps You Concentrate. The concentration is almost always lost when a sound reaches around 80 decibels. A silent environment will help you concentrate the best.
Now secondly, Silence and Creativity. Some research has shown how significant silence is to the success of individuals as they move through the creative procedure. Some of the best creativity occurs when the outside world is shut out and your skill gets all the focus.
Thirdly and most importantly, Silence Linked to Better Learning. The more noise a child is exposed to, the worse they perform at the academy and the harder they find the concentration levels to work with. In the 21st-century, the exposure of children to tablets, cell phones, and video games has increased the level of hearing damage which influences their ability to learn and develop correctly.
The world around us is frequently difficult to cope with. Many of us tend to fail to focus and find it impossible to always remain productive. With all the distractions of our daily lives, it’s understandable to realize that we require less disturbance to maintain our concentration. So, without the distractions of tech devices, ringing phones, incoming messages, family members and friends, it’s easier to calm the mind and restore balance, which helps a person to study better.
