Brief Profile
A journalist turned academician having experience spanning over a period of 15 years. After completion of graduation in Political Science from Utkal University, studied Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication from Utkal University and Ph.D. in Corporate Communication from Berhampur University, Odisha, India. An accomplished, energetic & dedicated media professional I served as professional journalist for two years in leading Odia daily newspaper Prajatantra and Dharitri at Bhubaneswar before joining as a full time lecturer in Biju Patnaik College of Journalism and Mass Communication under Utkal University. My experience in Journalism also opened up opportunities to showcase my public relations and media relations skills. As a teacher and a researcher my focus areas of research and teaching are public relations, corporate communication and writing and editing in print media.
Two Ph.D. scholars are conducting their research under my supervision at Birla School of Communication, Birla Global University. I have been working with professors of Foreign Universities like MMU, Malaysia, California State University and Ohio State University, USA. As a passionate viewer of news and current affairs programmes in television I also join as panelist in TV debates on political and international issues.
