The third Odisha State karate Championship was held at Birla Global University from April 28, 2018 to April 30, 2018 in association with Odisha State karate Association (KAO). The opening ceremony was inaugurated by Sanjay Kumar Naik, Vice-President, Rock Ball Association of Odisha in the august presence of Prof. Sudhakar Panda,VC, Birla Global University, Murali Sharma, Chief Patron Of Karate Do Association of Odisha, Nanda Ji Prasad,General Secretary All India Karate Do Federation and Swadhin Kumar Ray, President, Karate Do Association of Odisha. Around 170 participants from Odisha and Jharkhand participated in 29 categories including kata and kumite in the age group of 7 years and above 18 years in both male and female category. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were presented to the winners in all 29 category.
