The University Student Council elections for the academic year 2026-27 marked an important step in strengthening student leadership and representation at Birla Global University. The elections were held for the University Student Council - Academics (USC-A) and University Student Council - Holistic Development (USC-HD) bodies, providing students with the opportunity to actively participate in shaping the University’s academic and co-curricular ecosystem.
The USC-A Coordinator election saw Maneet Mangaraj (BALLB 5th year) and Amitabh Pattnaik (MBA 2nd year) present their visions and areas of focus to the student representatives, with Maneet Mangaraj elected as the USC-A Coordinator. For the USC-HD Coordinator position, Jhankar Sen Roy (MBA 2nd year), Siba Sundar Das (MBA 2nd year), and Sushree Simran (MAJMC 2nd year) contested the election, with Jhankar Sen Roy emerging as the elected coordinator.
Beyond transitioning leadership, the university elections highlighted the value of meaningful student participation in institutional decision-making.
