Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dipak Misra Addresses The BBA, LL.B (Hons) Students 2021-22 Batch Of The Birla School Of Law

On September 10, 2021, on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi the students of BBA, LL.B (Hons) 2021-22 batch of Birla School of Law, Birla Global University, Bhubaneswar were blessed by the presence and address of the 45th Chief Justice of India, Hon’ble Mr Justice Dipak Mishra in the Inaugural session of the 4th Orientation and inauguration for the batch of 2021.

His Lordship advised the students to be sincere in studies, to be honest, disciplined, and be respectful to elders. He said that reasoning, logical thinking and oration was essential to be a good lawyer. Giving the example of Demosthenes the great orator of ancient Athens he advised students that they can improve their oratory skills. Law students should read widely and have knowledge of wide range of disciplines, such as philosophy, psychology, logic, besides law.

The Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) P. P. Mathur, in his address stated that sincerity and hard work was essential to succeed in life. He added that the Birla Global University has all the facilities and the environment to develop the overall personality of the students.

Prof (Dr) B. K. Das, Registrar stated that Birla School of Law, Birla Global University is a budding Law School that is now making space in the world of education and has been very active in hosting events both online and offline.

Prof L. K. Deb, Dean Birla School of Law in his welcome address introduced Justice Dipak Misra, referring to his landmark judgments.

Dr Bhavana Sharma, Associate Professor, gave the Vote of Thanks. Sai Ujwal Mohanty student of 4th year anchored the program.
