
Birla Global University welcomed the incoming batch of students for the academic session 2026-27 through its Commencement Day Program, jointly organized by the Birla School of Commerce and the Birla School of Economics. The event marked the formal induction of students enrolled in the B.Com, M.Com, MBA (FinTech), B.Sc. Economics and M.Sc. Economics programs into the University's vibrant academic community.
The ceremony was graced by Ms. Reetika Sood, Director - Talent Acquisition, APAC, AML RightSource, as the Chief Guest and Mr. Amit Jagam, Regional Head, AU Small Finance Bank, as the Guest of Honour. They were joined by Prof. Kulbhushan Balooni, Vice Chancellor, Mr. Tanmay Kumar Pattanayak, Registrar, Prof. Pradipta Kumar Sanyal, Dean, Birla School of Commerce, Dr. Ajit Kumar Dash, Dean, Birla School of Economics, along with faculty members, alumni and students.
The distinguished speakers encouraged students to embrace lifelong learning, remain adaptable in an evolving global landscape, uphold professional ethics, and develop future-ready skills by combining academic knowledge with practical exposure and emerging technologies. The Vice Chancellor also highlighted the University's commitment to preparing globally competent graduates through the compulsory French language training offered to the students.
